Weighing Functions
You can easily choose among measurement in oz, lb:oz, g, ml (Milk & Water), fl’oz (Milk/Water). This digital scale measures in precise increments of 0.05oz (1 g) to accurately weigh your items. Power is provided by 2 AAA batteries (included), making the scale portable and ensuring that you can easily acquire replacement batteries.
Tare Function
The tare function allows the user to deduct the weight of a container from the total weight in order to determine the net weight of the contents excluding the weight of the container which holds them.
Clear Display and Auto-off
The scale has an easy-to-read backlit display, staying 30 seconds for easily reading. To save energy, the scale also features an auto-off function, allowing the scale to turn off after 2 minutes inactivity. Do not mix new and used batteries to power the device

Precise and easy to use
I bought this kitchen scale and it has worked very well. It is easy to use and the measurements are clear on the clear on the screen. I started using the Etekcity food scale when I began tracking my meals more seriously, and it honestly made a big difference. Before this, I was just guessing portions. Now I actually know what I’m eating.It’s very accurate and easy to use. I switch between grams and ounces depending on what I’m measuring, and the tare function makes it simple to weigh food in containers. The stainless steel top looks clean and wipes down easily after cooking.It’s compact but feels solid. If you’re trying to be disciplined with meal prep or bodybuilding, this isn’t optional it’s necessary.

Good kitchen scale
I think this scale is great so far. I had pictured a bigger one but I don’t think that size matters here because you can whatever size container you need on this and tare out accordingly. It is small but mighty. I appreciate that it offers two decimal places at the OZ unit. I would have preferred that capability for all units but at this price range I doubt you’ll find that. Its stated weight capacity is 5000g which is nearly 12lbs. That covers pretty much every use I can think of in a kitchen but I am not a batch baker… or much of a baker period. Overall good scale. Cleaning is great because it is a flush surface (that was a nice design feature).
