Blue Buffalo for the win!
As I’ve said in another Blue Buffalo review – I’ve looked over the ingredients of tons of cat food brands and types and this is by far the best product for the money that I’ve found. And my cats enjoy it. They come running when I snap the can. It’s very small chunks with a small amount of gravy. My guys don’t prefer pate options so this is great. Since cats are supposed to get a lot of their water from their food I feed them each a half can of this a day (my vet’s advice for their size) to accompany their Blue Buffalo dry food that I free feed. Their tummies have no problems with it at all and their litter box doesn’t smell terrible either so that’s a good signal as to the quality.

Great Product
My cat seems to really love this. My friends’ puppy even tries to steal it lol. I’ve heard great things about Blue Buffalo tears ago and haven’t looked back since switching my baby over. She gets so excited and devours it every time I feed her, despite being very well fed. We all love seeing our fur babies happy and healthy and I’m so glad that Blue Buffalo is a part of that. I do recommend the subscription. You save a bit of money and time, both of which you can lavish on your pet or pets.

Bigger cans and a great value
Decided to try this type of blue buffalo version of cat food since the wilderness one takes longer to deliver and I’m surprised how large the cans are! Tried pate of the wilderness one and she hates it because she usually eats the meaty morsal ones so I’m thinking the flaked version of close to it and she gobbled it up. Hoping she likes all the flavors and has no issues eating it. Kinda scared with some of the reviews of cats throwing up and getting sick on this so I hope this doesn’t happen with my cat.Update: Although my cat doesn’t have any issues with throwing up she isn’t eating it like she did when I first bought it. Also the more I look at it the quality isn’t as good as the meaty morsal ones I’ve purchased in the past. I think after careful consideration I’ll stick with the wilderness meaty morsals one. Yes it’s smaller and more expensive but I feel it’s better quality then this one. Sometimes you get what you pay for. This food is ok if you are on a budget and want to try it out but I don’t think it’s good quality even though it’s from blue buffalo.

My cat approves
My baby loves these. Most of the cans arrived in great condition, and only a few were slightly dented. Since shipping damage can happen with canned products, I was relieved that the majority were perfectly fine. Returning busted, open, smelly cans would have been a nightmare.

Good “staple” food
IMO it’s the highest quality affordable wet food available. My 2 yo kitten rejects the 100% chicken flavor but other than that no complaints I avoid too much chicken anyways because it’s a common allergy. Love the little chunks I think it’s better for their instincts. Wish this was around for my college kitty because I could usually only afford dry food and ended up passing away with kidney problems at 14 yo was hoping she would see 20 yo. Miss you Jovi Blue Buffalo was her favorite brand when it first came on the market and was $$$

Made my cats sick
I have three senior cats. Two that are 9 years old and one that is 14. One of the males ( there are two ) prefers the minced cat food while the other prefer pate. I ordered this thinking the flaked might be something in between. When I opened it, I was surprised to see teh food was packed very tightly and appeared to rehydrated kibble or something like that in a viscuous wet substance not like gravy but something that keeps the contents moist. I started with a can of the shrim and cod. Within minutes two of the cats were vomiting and contnued comiting for at least three more times before they had emptied their stomachs of the food. The other cat a male would not even touch it. I thought this was odd. I thought maybe the food expanded in their stomachs and made this feel overfull? I normally feed the cats 5 times per day splitting a 3 0z can between them in each feeding. Plus they get dry. So I did not fee them the whole 5 oz can when I first tried this. I waited a day or so and ran low on my other brand so I tried some of the poultry flavor in this again. This time I processed it in my mini food processor to break it down a bit. It still seemed quite viscuous and not like any consistancy of any food I had tried before. But I put a little out for each of them. Again withn minutes the two that ate it began vomiting until it was all up. What I cleaned up from the carpet felt like tar almost like thick and sticky, difficult to even clean from the carpet. No blood in it and the cats seem to be eating and ringing normally. They will eat the other brand. But this stuff seems more like a dog food consiistency than cat food. Either way It is going in the garbage. Quite shocked that Blue Buffalo is the manufacturer I use their dry brand. But this is just not something I would even buy for my cats again. Don’t know if it was a bad batch or what, but when it makes your animal ill, it is not a good formula at least for my cats.
