1.Modify device name so your Amazon Alexa can easily recognize the name.
2.Use Alexa App or Computer to set up your Amazon Alexa.
3.In the menu bar, go to ‘Skills’ and search for ‘BN-HUB’.

Smart Plugins Are the Way To Go!
Last Christmas I had the old “dial” like timers for my Christmas lights. It would drive me crazy that half of the lights would come on for a period of time before the others finally came on. You can’t get an exact time with that type of timer. So last year we switched to this Outdoor Smart WiFi Plug controlled by an app on my phone. I absolutely love the ability to set a timer for both of my lights to come on and off at the same time. Also with an app you can set different times for different days which is helpful if you want your lights to remain on longer during the weekends but shut off sooner on weekdays. Or if you like your lights to come on in the morning but shut off when it gets light out and then on again at night. The timer works with different “smart” apps which is great if you are already using one. I use Smart Life to control all the smart plugins in my home, it was perfect that I could connect this with the same app so I can control all my lights from one app.I did have some trouble connecting it as I almost always d0 and had to use the manual mode vs the automatic pairing. It took me a couple of tries before I finally got it to connect so that was a little frustrating but I have found this same issue with almost any plug I purchase (maybe it is the app, not the plug).I ended up packing my outdoor timer away with my Christmas decorations last year so when I needed one for my Halloween decorations I went ahead and purchased the same timer from last year as I knew it would work great. I am able to have my blowup decoration come on at 5:30 and shut off at 11:00 pm all from my app. It has worked perfectly so far this year.Pros:**Easy scheduling from your phone**Can set up different times and days, very flexible**Weatherproof works great mine has gone through many rainy days**Works with different smart apps

Upgraded units are JUNK! Buyer beware!
The older generation of HBN smart outdoor outlets works like a charm I loved them. I wanted to add to my yearly Xmas display this year and needed more so I bought two new ones that said upgraded models, didnāt think much of it as the older versions were fantastic. Needless to say the upgraded versions are junk! Connections issues along with timer issues! They will come on fine but will not turn off at the desired times I have them set for I thought it may of been my internet which it isnāt. My old HBN ones still work perfectly so it has to be the upgraded models tried contacting HBN directly with no response. Contacted amazon and returning both units. And purchased from another manufacturer thatās not HBN. When you had a good product that worked well donāt ever just change it up shame on you HBN smart outdoor outlets thereās nothing smart about the upgraded outlets!

Easy to set up and configure, work great
These are awesome! Plugged them in, added my WiFi info, and the app picked them up right away. Five minutes is all it took, from opening the box, to configuring them for my needs.I bought these to remotely control the electric heaters at my vacation home. Theyāre perfect because each one can handle a full 15 amps, 1875 watts, which exceeds the needs of each heater. I can set a schedule for each heater, or manually turn them in or off, depending on need.I had originally bought a different brand, more highly rated, but I couldnāt get them to connect, and Iām a network engineer! But these, no issues. They connected right away.Iām very happy with these and highly recommend them.

Worked Great For Three Years
It was very reliable and easy to use in my application. One outlet powered a circulating pump for my fish pond and another powered the aerator. The third was mostly unused. The pump is fairly large but draws less than the rating of the device but there is a substantial surge when it starts so it may have had a cumulative effect on the device that damaged it. I don’t know for sure. The scheduler worked well to start and stop the pump on a daily basis. One morning the pump was not running so I cycled the power on the HBN device. It started back up then immediately shutoff again. There was a very warm spot on the case that turned out to be WiFi module. Once it cooled down, I tested again and it stayed up longer and toggled off and on a few times before shutting off completely. The WiFi module was again very warm. This device is sold as “heavy duty” which is why I selected it for this application. It is not clear if it simply failed or if the load played a role.

This Outdoor Smart WiFi Plug Outlet is a fantastic value for its capabilities and the convenience it provides. I wanted something for my two-speed pool pump, which I typically just run at a low speed to reduce electricity costs. Beyond that, I also wanted an easy way to schedule it to go on and off. As this works with the Smart Life app, it was as easy as plugging in the WiFi plug outlet and adding the device to my app. It didn’t take five minutes.Note that I already have my wireless network configured for 2.4 and 5 GHz, so no network reconfigurations were required. This device will require 2.4 GHz connectivity.Once added, I manually tested turning it on and off via the app, then synced it to Google Assistant and verified that voice commands to turn it on and off worked perfectly. I then spent some time exploring the various scheduling options in the app and opted for the “Circulate” scheduling option.One important thing to note is that this limitation applies to the Smart Life app. If you are scheduling a “Circulate” option, ensure it’s less than 12 hours, as it won’t work otherwise. I have mine set to power on at 7:30 AM and power off at 7:00 PM. It will then start and run the pump for two hours, turn it off for 30 minutes, and continue this cycle for 11.5 hours. I leave it off overnight.Highly recommend this device, works great!
