I bought two Units and they have Worked Perfectly and were easy to install.
Update 14 May 2024Both Units are still Working Perfectly after 3 Years!I am so happy with this purchase that I just bought a third one as a spare! The model might change and I at least know that this one works perfectly and still looks very modern. So now I will have a Spare in case one should die.The only issue I have ever seen is that occasionally it sends me an email that the one of the Thermostats does not have it’s time set correctly. I open the App and every time the time is correct, so I just delete the Log entry and the Alert Notification is gone. I think that the Thermostat tries to get the time and maybe once every two months it just cannot reach their servers.ORIGINAL 2021 REVIEW:Great looking unit with a lot of control. The programming is a bit confusing at first because there are just so many features that it can be a bit overwhelming. The effort involved in learning it is well worth it as you will wonder how you ever lived without these features. If your into energy savings this unit is a must have thermostat as you can schedule the temperature so that it is comfortable when needed but not cooling or heating as much when your not home. Holiday scheduling etc are built in features as well as a very nice AI system that gets the temperature to where you want it at the time you want it. For instance I set the office Temp to be 73 Deg at 9AM. These thermostats calculate based on learning the temperature curve for your systems. It knows exactly when to turn on the AC so that at 9AM it is 73 Deg. In my case it learned within a day and adjust depending on the temperature in the morning.Right now the AC units come on at 7:45AM and it cools down so that when we open the office door it is perfect 73 deg inside. Heating works the same way. When closing time comes it shuts off the AC compressor but runs the AC Fan for an hour or two to dry out any moisture in the coils and ducts, this is a great feature as it eliminates the chance of mildew growing in the system. All of this is configurable in the Menus.Remote access has been great for me so far. I have not had any issues with their servers being down. I can pull up the APP on my phone and change certain things or I can do it from a PC using a web browser. I was a little disappointment that not all parameters can be changed remotely. You can change the temperature settings also change the scheduling and do manual shutdowns or turn On but the rest must be done from the head unit.I installed two of these in our offices. One controls a 10 Ton Carrier AC unit and the other a 7 Ton AC Unit.The installation was easy. The “C” terminal and “RC” terminal hookup to the 24VAC transformer and the “C” and “Y” terminal hook up to the 24VAC compressor contactor. The “G” terminal is for the Fan relay board on the AC.Pretty much a one on one wiring from any older manual thermostat it may be replacing.Overall I am super impressed with this thermostat. It keeps the time using internet servers and does not loose any settings after a power outage. If the WiFi is down for any reason it keeps on working based on the schedule and their remote servers email you to let you know the connection has been lost. It has several email alerts including the temperature going out of set parameters which might happen if someone left a window open or you HVAC system broke down. Once setup it’s pretty much a mini AI system that is keeping your house or office at the temperatures that you want and alerting you if something is wrong.

Works great, simple to learn and use!
I have used this unit for a few years, put in at the time I put new A/C system. Last month I wanted to add two more of these Wi-Fi units. Honeywell still makes them and I bought two more.I may have been able to install them myself; I could have done all the Internet setup, however my A/C guy said if I buy the units (Amazon!) he’d do the wiring for cheap! Can’t beat that!Good product!

great but not a homeowner installation
This is not a straight forward out with the old, in with the new. Installed correctly it is the best of the best. If you are not handy, hire a professional. Biggest issue is it needs a constant 24vac power, does not run on batteries. If your system can’t supply that, it’s not going to work. I suggest you look for the “C” wire they talk about. If it is not there, then there alot of work around solutions, but not something you should tackle unless you are well versed in electrical.

Basic, lacks features, but works well
I recommend that you read the app reviews for the various iOS or Android apps on the app store – the software is the main aspect of the SMART thermostats. I chose this thermostat because it connects to one particular Honeywell app, and not the other.Plus:- Schedule override gives wonderful “until time” option- It’s good looking- Functions well with the phone as a remote.- I chose it because it has the programmable fan circulation option- Its the only thermostat with an app with 4 star rating- Other apps all had 2 or 3 star ratings- Easy install both thermostat, app, and wifi connection- Price was greatNeutral:- It works because it doesn’t try to do too much- It should be able to expand s/w features, but I don’t know if they plan toCons:- the simplicity means it doesn’t have some fairly basic software features- I hope they upgrade s/w and add more daily program events (it has only 4, which is barely enough).- It doesn’t really work with Google Home. The apps link but the google home speaker can’t seem to see it.Overall: we always have someone home, and this gives great basic program and override remote and panel control. I would probably buy it again, but I’d check to see if other apps improved their 2 & 3 star ratings first

I replaced my standard Lennox Thermostat for the Honeywell 9000 Wifi Smart Thermostat. I use this product with my Lennox 2 stage Furnace. My original thermostat did have the “C” Wire which the 9000 requires. Installation and instructions were straight forward, just make sure you document all the wires on your existing thermostat. The 9000 can be used in PROGRAMMABLE and NON- PROGRAMMABLE (simple) mode and can be controlled remotely from a Desktop or IPhone App. I love the colorful display as it is very appealing. I am very satisfied with this product and pleased with my selection. I would buy this product again.
