Mrs. Anderson’s Baking Bamboo Oven Push Pull Stick safely pulls hot bakeware and oven racks closer to protect hands and arms against dangerous burns when reaching into hot ovens. A helpful extension to keep hands at a safe distance from heat. The side notch pulls hot oven racks out to check the progress of baked goods or remove hot items safely. Use it to safely maneuver hot casserole dishes or pull cookie sheets, cake pans, pie dishes, pizza pans closer. The top notch pushes oven racks back into place and protects skin for better kitchen safety. Great for jostling toaster oven racks too. Compact for easy storage. Made from 100-percent natural bamboo to be lightweight, strong, and less absorbent than wood. Safe for use on nonstick cookware. Although bamboo is technically a grass, its tensile strength is comparable to that of steel, making it extremely strong and durable. It regenerates through a vast root system without need of replanting and boasts a record-breaking growth rate that surpasses any other known plant. For these reasons, bamboo is considered among the world’s greatest renewable resources and the alternative used over traditional materials for the sustainable design of eco-friendly products for more sustainable living. Perfect Practical Oven Tool
I’m not a graceful person. I have burned myself more times than I can remember. I bought a new countertop oven that is infrared and gets hot FAST. I knew I needed a new oven tool. Silicone is fine, but I was looking for something more old school. (These used to be called “oven squirrels” and were carved from wood.) Since I couldn’t find one of those, I opted for this bamboo beauty. Easy to use. Good size for my countertop oven. Rinse off if needed. Thank you for saving my hands!!

You can always tell when someone is a seasoned baker by the number of times they have been burned by accidentally touching the rack in a hot oven. I just can’t imagine using an oven without having a push-pull stick nearby to pull or push a hot oven rack. Trying to remove an item from a hot oven just using a pair of hot pads carries its own problems. The corner of the hot pad “smooshes” down into the food item being removed. If this is hot grease or water, the hot pad becomes wet and burns through to your hand anyway. It’s a natural reaction to drop the hot item when that happens. It’s really a must for anyone who uses their oven.
