Fantastic Matter Outdoor Smart Outlet
I’m extremely impressed with this Matter outdoor smart outlet. From the moment I plugged it in, the setup process was incredibly smooth and simple, easily one of the quickest smart home additions I’ve ever made. A standout feature for me is having two distinct outlets, which can each be controlled completely independently. This level of flexibility is fantastic for managing different outdoor lights or decorations without needing multiple devices. The fact that it operates using Matter over Wi-Fi is a huge plus, ensuring broad compatibility and a straightforward connection. What truly makes this device a winner in my book is its seamless integration with Home Assistant. It connected without a hitch and has been performing perfectly, allowing me to manage my outdoor setup exactly as I want. There’s no need to download or use any additional manufacturer’s app; everything works directly through Home Assistant, which is a major convenience. If you’re looking for a dependable, easy to configure outdoor smart outlet, especially one that plays nice with Home Assistant, I highly recommend this one. I’m very happy with this purchase.

Best smart dimmer on the market
This TP-Link Tapo smart dimmer is amazing! I spent months searching for a good pair of smart string lights, but I could not find any. So, I decided to buy regular string lights that I really like and then I’m using them with this dimmer which turns those lights into smart lights. I can control my string lights using this dimmer through the well designed Tapo app. I was able to connect my device within 30 seconds, then calibrate the lights in another minute, and I’m up and running. It feels like it’s made of very good quality, perfect for the outdoors. It’s got the safety features that I was looking fo, and it’s an excellent price. I love this dimmer so much that I’m going to buy another one.

Perfect for outdoor decorations.
Easy setup. Well constructed. Integrates with Google Home. Great for controlling outdoor decorations. In the Home app, you can set an on/off schedule or control it manually.

Great product. You need a matter compatible controller.
Setup was a little funky. It’s my first matter device. Once we figured out you can just add it to Alexa app with out the tapo app it was smooth as silk. Works awesome. I’m ordering another for my second outdoor plug to give me 4 addressable plugs that I can AI control. Instructions could have been better and the box looked like Amazon played an impromptu game if soccer with it but they worked and are playing away in the back yard. They connected right up to my IOT network on my TP-Link mesh router.Great product as usual from TP-Link

Great versatile outdoor smart plug.
I bought this outdoor smart outlet to control my Christmas lights. What drew me to this specific plug is that it’s weatherproof, both outlets can be controlled separately, the price is reasonable, works with matter, HomeKit, and Smartthings. Works with Alexa and Siri also. You can set routines to go on or off at specific times which is how I used it. My only concern is that I read online that TP-link devices might be banned in the US due to national security concerns. If this ban is put into place, devices will no longer receive software and firmware updates. If not for this possibility, this outdoor smart plug would be perfect.

Great customer support
I wanted my bookcase lights to go on at dusk and off at 11pm. However, I made a mistake when setting up the P430M. I accidentally enabled “Away Mode” on the Alexa app. The bookcase lights would go on randomly. My DIY smart home has 60+ TP-Link devices, mostly smart switches or dimmers. I’ve used TP-Link for about ten years. TP-Link devices are a great value for the money and are extremely reliable. I started home automation with a wide variety of vendors and eventually narrowed it down to only TP-Link. I eliminated the others because of high cost, poor interoperability, or low reliability.Anyways, I checked almost everything and could not resolve the randomness of the lights going on & off. My first guess was my older devices were somehow turning the P430M on and off. So, I emailed customer support. TP-Link responded immediately. I was given multiple things to try, and while stepping through the suggested solutions I saw the Away Mode box clicked. Unchecking it fixed the problem.Thank You
