High-quality, heavy-duty garlic press that will last a lifetime
OXO makes THE best kitchen utensils, and this garlic press is no exception. I was surprised how weighty it is. It can crush multiple garlic cloves at once with ease and has a self-cleaning feature to push out the debris, which is why I chose it. The handles have a nice grippy feel, and it’s dishwasher-safe. This is a lifetime garlic press–you’ll never need to buy another.

Favorite Garlic Press!
I have been on a mission for a new garlic press for years, and am happy to say that the mission is over! This garlic press is heavy duty, high quality and easy to clean. More importantly (for me, at least) you can easily reverse the direction of the “press” to loosen and push out the sticky garlic skins left over from pressing. This is the quickest and easiest way I have found to clean out a garlic press and not have to pick out little garlic scraps with a toothpick or knife. The pressed garlic is a great size/texture for all recipes I’ve made, and I have no complaints. I hand wash this item due to frequent use, and it still looks brand new.

This garlic press seems well made and of good quality.I’ve had it for 5-6 months now and have had no issues. I generally use it several times a week. No rust or corrosion as of yet.If you wash/rinse it out right after use it’s easier to clean.All in all, I would recommend!

You need this garlic press in your life! No doubt about it. This was my 3rd garlic press I’ve purchased in 25 years. The first two didn’t work very well but since I use a lot of garlic, I hung in there, using them. In frustration a few weeks ago I looked up garlic presses on Amazon and came upon the OXO version. I love every OXO product I have purchased and find them sturdy and very well-designed. I read the reviews for this press and didn’t mind spending the $$ for this one if it was going to work. After just two uses, I knew I had struck gold! This is the best, the very best and the only one you will ever need for life. The red ‘pusher outer’ part that loosens the remaining garlic after the pressing is a rigid plastic and will not fail. After I press my garlic I use the pusher outer part one time and rinse. Everything rinses cleanly from the press. Quick, easy and I cannot say enough good about this extremely well-made product. Gift yourself with this item or buy it for people that really love garlic.

Decent option but not the best
Not sure why it is so hard to find a good garlic press, but this is halfway there. It’s sturdy, washes well in the dishwasher without tarnishing, easy enough to clean.There are gripes though, the garlic needs to constantly be adjusted into the lower portion, otherwise it just kind of squeezes out and wastes a lot of the clove. It’s OXO quality but the design could use some more improvement.I had another by Xyliss that I loved but it was made of a cheap veneered metal that ended up being junk. This OXO one is a good middle of the road option if you’re hard pressed and just need something for the job.

Process garlic quickly
Garlic processed so simply, peel it put it in squish done. Seems to be of good quality rinse with hot water, hard steel and quality rubber I haven’t seen any wear yet and I use it at least 1 or 2 times a week.

My previous Oxo garlic press lasted about 6 years before snapping and breaking during meal prep the other day. We had a pretty good run, so while I wish it had lasted a lifetime, I figured it was money well spent and bought another. Hopefully this one lasts as long or longer.

OXO TRIUMPS AGAIN
This is the perfect garlic press. The bowl holds at least three large cloves and up to 5 smaller ones and the flat press pushes them all through the mincer with ease…even with my slightly arthritic hands. Flip the handle, and it cleans the mincer easily. It is weighty, but that’s a good thing – it’s definitely built to last. The padded handles are a plus – so comfortable to use! I had tried another brand, a brand I know well and love, but I had to return it. Marketed with a large bowl to press multiple cloves of garlic, it sounded perfect but it just didn’t work due to its design. Both are similarly priced but go with the OXO. You’ll be glad you did.

Ich benutze diese Knoblauchpresse seit 2020 mehrmals woechentlich und sie ist nach wie vor in top Zustand. Ich habe heute noch eine als backup bestellt da ich Angst habe, dass dieses Modell in der gleichen Qualitaet irgendwann nicht mehr erhaeltlich ist. Ich reinige sie stets per Hand und nicht in der Spuelmaschine, presse nur Knoblauch damit (dazu ist sie ja auch da), und zerkratze die Seite an der der Knoblauch herausgepresst wird nicht mit scharfen Gegenstaenden sonder nehme entweder die Rueckseite eines Messers oder einen Spachtel. Mit guter Pflege ist dies eine zuverlaessige, hervorragend verarbeitete Knoblauchpresse die auch mit stabilem Gewicht sehr gut in der Hand liegt, und sich sehr leicht reinigen laesst. Wir sind vollauf zufrieden.

Pensavo che gli spremiaglio avessero le caratteristiche della mia ex pinza, datata decenni, ormai: e cioè, che fossero non lavabili in lavastoviglie e soprattutto causanti fastidi alle dita e al polso della mano utilizzata per stringere le pinze. Ho voluto provare questo spremiaglio, catturato dal design, e non molto curando le recensioni sul suo (supposto) ottimo funzionamento. Al momento, dopo averlo provato, direi che è uno degli acquisti su Amazon che mi ha dato maggior soddisfazione. Non soltanto è davvero uno strumento molto bello, costruito perfettamente, in acciaio, facilissimamente lavabile (senza permanenza di odori – e non capisco ancora come faccia) con un colpo di spugna e acqua calda (oltre che in lavastoviglie); ma la sua forma, “bombata” nei manici, facilita la spremitura, richiedendo minor forza. Ovviamente, il residuo dell’aglio spremuto va tranquillamente aggiunto al trito di aglio, con un apprezzabile guadagno in termini di spreco. Da acquistare. Arrivato puntualissimo.

i hesitated buying this as there were cheaper options, but decided i didn’t want to be disappointed in an inferior model and risk having to buy a new one. I have no regrets now as it is wonderful to use. You can put a few cloves in there, and if you’re ‘petite’ like me, you might need to use 2 hands to squeeze down on it but because of the thick ergonomic handles, doesn’t put stress on your palms or wrist. It’s heavy duty so just be careful not to drop it on your counter or floor. Also the clever design means you can flip one handle around so it pushes out the remaining garlic trapped in the holes. Rinse out the press right after using so it makes clean up a breeze, it simply rinses out. It says you can use it without peeling the garlic, but it got a little messy and since i don’t want to waste any of the garlic, I’ve always removed the skins first. i also use a small knife to scrape off the minced garlic after pressing, then use it to shift the flattened cloves around, and re-press, so I don’t waste anything. I love how it makes light work of mincing all my garlic – and I’m very happy with my purchase.
