The rocker does not work as well as I had hoped. It is a little dull so it takes a good bit of force.

It Works, But…
The skin remover works great. The rocker press, however, is more difficult to use than I thought. You have to press hard to force the garlic through, it requires scraping and re-rocking a number of times, and there’s still some left to cut up. The common garlic press is easier IMO, as it contains the garlic, you can hold at any angle vs having to press down, the hole cleaner on its reverse side is really handy, and no cutting board to clean the unused garlic juice from.

Peels and crushes garlic easily. Super sturdy and easy to use. Cleaning can be slightly difficult but not bad.

Total waste of money!
There were 2 in the set-I gave one to my daughter. Each of us found that it is a total waste of money-the rocker garlic chopper needs to be much sharper – it takes so much pressure to get the cloves minced; in fact, the garlic never really gets minced and you must finish by using a knife. Good idea, but it is deeply flawed. I was really looking forward to using it – very disappointed!

I did not like this item at first for all the reasons listed below. I decided to give it another chance and took a look at the video in the ad to see why the garlic never slipped out. There is a technique•Make sure the garlic is centred in every way under the unit then gradually press directly down so that the garlic begins to go through the holes …that will hold it in place.•THEN you can rock it side to side(forward and back) to force the rest through. It’s a lot of work compared to a press but you can do more at once and it cleans easier than a press.NOTE: I went from one star to four largely because of the price-point otherwise I would have given ThreeOriginal Review: Not sharp enough. Edge of holes does not hold garlic in place to force it through the holes. Garlic slides out from under the utensil.Crushes garlic rather than extrude it through holes as advertised.Requires far too much effort to get the same results easily achieved with a standard press.Silicone peeler tube is a lot of work and really does nothing.I have not tried the other to see if the one I used is defective as I was going to give it as a gift. I will do that and if the other is better, will update this review.
