Awesome cameras for the money
I was needing some security cameras around my house for awhile. So I started looking for some cameras when I found these cameras the AOSU security cameras. I was not sure about them. So I only ordered two if them at the time thinking that they was not going to be all that great for the price. When I got them thay looked like really nice cameras. It came with the HomeBase witch I wanted. I don’t like using the cloud and paying monthly for. So settings them up at first was a little confused at first. I couldn’t get the cameras to sink up with the homebase at first. So I got ahold of AOSU customer service and a wonderful lady named Daisy and I told her what was going on. She apologies for the trouble I was having and walk me through on settings it up. We found out that maybe the homebase might have a problem. So without questioning it she sent me a new base. Daisy was supper nice to talk to and very helpful. She pretty much whent out if her way to help. Great customer service. So I was thinking that okay this is going to be a POS camera system and I got my money’s worth. So when I got the homebase two days later. I set them up which took maybe 20 minutes. After settings them up I realized that I don’t think the first base was bad. I think it was me that was bad.lol. I think I realized I was missing a step and that was my problem. Slow learner I guess lol. So after settings them up I put them outside. I was kinda having problems finding a good place in the backyard because my internet router is kinda old and doesn’t have the range of the new routers do. My router is on the other side of my house and it has to go though 4 walls to get to the backyard. And they are all laugh and plaster. A lot to go through. So after a little tweaking I got the signal I needed. I’m very impressed with them. For the money and the router I’m useing they work awesome. They are really clear in the daytime and at night they work awesome too. The only problem is at night like any IR system is if someone is moving you will not get a really clear shot of their face unless that person stops moving. The range on the sensor could be a little better, I think it is about 20 feet but this is not a professional camera set up. You want professional you will pay big money for that.Could they have a little more distance on the signal?, yes. But I think that is because of my old router and were that is in the house. I like the idea I could be anywhere in the United States or Canada and get a signal and see what’s going on around my house. All in all great cameras set up. I wound up purchasing 2 more cameras. The customer service is awesome I never had that good customer service. A big SHOUT OUT to Daisy. The cameras are awesome. I highly recommend them. They’re are not professional grade home security cameras. If you want professional grade video. You might not want this camera. Pay the money for the professional cameras. But if you want basically good home security cameras these are the ones to get. They’re not really expensive they work really good for the money. And customer service is awesome. Now I’m going to see how the work in the winter when it get -20°f will update on that later.

Just buy it. Stop searching for the magic camera that is cheap and high quality. This thing rocks.
Honestly, I treated these cameras like absolute crap when I first got them. I left them on the ground outside for weeks before even installing them (I own a business and things just get the better of me). We had crazy rain, frosts and all sorts of mud and dirt got on them. I finally installed them today and I gotta say, we are going to buy more for our business because I am shocked on the quality and durability. Set up is a joke, its incredibly simple. And with it having solar, no brainer on simplicity. No wiring, no mess. I almost never write reviews but this is a great camera and system and the motion alerts aren’t annoying, i.e., the wind blows and you get notification. It gives ACTUAL notifications of movement. Night vision is great too and the wide angle makes it so you don’t need a boat load of cameras. My ONLY complaint, is the price point but I am firm believer in you get what you pay for. Considering I do business all around the globe, I know the true costs of items but I don’t care because of the simplicity. If you are on the fence, just do it. Make your life easier and skip searching all over amazon for some magic camera that is cheap and high quality, its not realistic. Get this.

Good quality cameras with an excellent support team for any issues that may arise
I first heard of aosu Security Cameras from a friend. Her husband purchased them to monitor their property and they were quite satisfied with how the cameras worked. I ordered the 4-Cam solar powered kit. Upon receiving the product, I unboxed all of the contents. I liked how well everything was organized in the box. The set up instructions were very easy to follow. I charged all of the cameras according to the directions.I will say that one of the 4 cameras would not charge with the quickness and ease as the other 3 cameras did. I tried several ways to get it to charge. Eventually, it did reach 100% charge, however it did not hold the charge like the other cameras did. This camera seemed to be defective.I put up the other 3 cameras outside and followed directions as far as placement of camera and solar panel. I have been extremely pleased with these cameras, the video quality, and how easy the app is to use. It also has good quality for the night vision mode. Note that you do need to install the aosu app on your phone or tablet to view video footage. You can choose whether to pay for a monthly plan or run them live. Some features are disabled without a monthly plan. I chose to purchase one of the montly plans because I wanted access to all features along with being able to store videos to view later. As for the defective camera, I did call the number for aosu support and reported my issue. I was connected with a support member named Daisy and she was so very helpful in coming up with a solution for the defective camera. She communicated with me via email, was very thorough in keeping me up to date through the whole process. She responded in a timely manner and within 24 hrs she assured me that a replacment camera will be sent to replace the defective camera. She answered all questions I had and was courteous throughout the whole process. The only reason I did not put a 5 star rating is because of the defective camera. I will come back and update the review once I receive a replacement camera and make sure that it works properly. If the replacement camera works without any issues, which I feel sure it will, then I will change my review to a 5 star rating. If you are considering purchasing this product, I would highly recommend it. Not all companies are as willing to resolve defective equipment issues as this one was. I should have my replacement in a few days and then I will update the review.

Purchase 2 solar powered 2K cameras with Hub. Installation and connecting to the Hub was easy. Picture quality is very good. However, after a few days one camera stopped charging. Various resets did not work and I removed the camera but it failed to reconnect (pair) with the Hub.Contacted the Online Support via the app and I am impressed with their customer service in quickly resolving my issue. Thanks to Wennie from AOSU Chat Support Team, who took me through various steps to identify the fault. Thanks as well to Julie at the AOSU Escalation Team, who liaised with her technical and sales teams, offered me a few solutions and despatched a replacement camera within 3 days of me reporting the fault. Replacement camera now working OK.

I’ve been using the AOSU outdoor cameras for several months now, and overall, it has been a fantastic experience. The video quality is sharp, the setup was straightforward, and I feel a real sense of security knowing my property is covered. What truly sets AOSU apart, however, is their outstanding customer service. I had one camera that unexpectedly stopped holding a charge. I contacted their online support, and the process was seamless. The representative was prompt, courteous, and didn’t give me the runaround. They quickly verified the issue and not only sent out a replacement unit immediately but also generously added an extra year to my warranty as a gesture of good faith. That level of care and commitment to their customers is rare and deeply appreciated. It has been a genuine pleasure having these cameras. They are reliable, well-designed, and backed by a team that truly stands behind their product. If I had to mention one very minor drawback, I’ve noticed there can be a bit of a delay (sometimes a few seconds) in receiving motion detection notifications on my phone. It hasn’t impacted the security function for me, as the recording itself is instant, but it’s something to be aware of.Final Verdict: Highly recommended! You’re getting great hardware and, more importantly, a company that provides exceptional support. AOSU has earned a customer for life.Pro Tip: For the best performance with the notifications, ensure your Wi-Fi signal is strong at the camera’s location.

Great quality and very easy to set up. Unfortunately, one of the cameras developed a fault outside the warranty period. Contacted the seller for advice just to see if there was anything they could suggest. Customer Service quality was excellent and speedy. After their suggestions to rectify the situation failed, the camera was deemed to have a hardware fault and they replaced the item. The lady who I was in contact with at Customer Service, Daisy, was very helpful and quick to respond to my messages and questions. I would highly recommend this.

This has absolutely everything I was looking for!Pros:- The solar power works great, batteries seem to have lots of power.- Easy set-up (more on that later).- You don’t need a stoopid cloud account set up (but they do offer one for a cost, if that’s what you’re into), because you can store the videos into this hub router they supply which is hooked up to the cameras via wifi (this data can then be transferred to your phone via your internet).- You can choose privacy zones and detection zones (very handy). It’s detection methods are smart and you can select what kinds of things you want it to detect (e.g. humans).- Customer service was amazing (they must have been paying attention to the reviews because they upped their game here). They responded through their chat built into the app within a minute and had me on my way after some useful tips. Very friendly too.- Video quality is good enough (doesn’t really pick up license plates though but this isn’t state of the art here either)- The app has tons of options and so far is very responsive.Cons:- So be sure not to install your camera before first upgrading the firmware because I found out, after talking with their tech support, that you need them to have like 100% connection with their hub. I literally had to put two of them directly on the hub to get them to update. The other two updated fine being a separate room of the house.- The hub (they named “basehome”) needs to be plugged directly into your internet router, which means, you might not have it perfectly in a central spot as to where you are going to set up your cameras. They do connect without issue at a maximum of about 50’ from the hub (depending on how many obstructions there are), but any further than this and the signal is under 50% and the cameras don’t function well streaming live, if at all. I had to make do with one camera like this but it still sends recorded videos to the hub which can transfer to my phone and I do still get notifications when it does pick up a strong enough signal. All in all, this is a great package for the price and super stoked that I don’t have to wire anything into the house and not have to worry about batteries. I just installed this yesterday so I will update my review if anything changes.
