I’m very happy with this smart lock. Installation was straightforward and didn’t require any extra drilling, which made the whole process quick and stress-free. I also appreciate the thoughtful design—there’s a soft pad where the lock connects to the door, which helps protect the surface from scratches.The lock offers multiple unlocking options, including fingerprint, passcode, key card, and even Apple Wallet on iPhone, which is incredibly convenient for daily use. Setting it up with Apple HomeKit was also very easy, and the compatibility is excellent.Another great feature is the official app, where I can check the battery level and monitor various lock activities in real time. Overall, it’s a well-designed, user-friendly smart lock that delivers both convenience and reliability.

Well made, value priced and highly functional smartlock from DREAME
DREAME truly is a remarkable company. They’ve been in business less than 10 years and have already established a reputation for making some of the best high end robotic pool cleaners and vacuum/mop combos on the market. There aren’t many companies with such a strong ‘winning percentage’ of products, let alone in so many different market segments at a wide range of price points.This is a entry level priced smart lock, one of several value priced products they’ve dropped of late including a security camera and food vacuum sealer. They haven’t neglected the high end–they’ve got a very impressive robotic lawn mower waiting in the wings–but they’re clearly looking to expand their demographic reach. It’s not just household stuff either–my wife was a devotee of one of the top hair care brands in the business but now she swears by DREAME’s hair care products.This smart lock shares the same underlying philsophy as their other entry level products: they don’t ‘reinvent the wheel’ but they do an exceptional job of executing. I’m a business owner and I travel extensively. I don’t necessarily want uncontrolled access to my personal office when I’m away and this lock takes care of my needs and then some. It runs on AA batteries and that delivers up to a year of battery life. There’s also a USB-C port for emergency charging. It offers a nice assortment of access options including a fingerprint reader, remotely set passcodes, one time use guest passcodes along with mechanical keys and NFC cards.One of the most impressive traits of DREAME products is their uniformly excellent smartphone apps. This lock is no exception–the app allows you to configure lock settings, generate one time and longer term passcodes and check your access log. You can also unlock the door remotely. Everything you need to install it is included–even your first set of batteries. I was initially planning to install it myself but due to my schedule I ended up having it done professionally.No mattter the product niche or price point you just can’t go wrong with DREAME. Very highly recommended!!

Love Dreame products!
This lock has been a game changer! No more fumbling for my keys in my bag (especially since my hands are usually already full 😆). It works exactly as you’d expect it to, and it does it very well. Great size. Functional without being overly large or bulky. I feel comfortable using this on my front door and feel it’s plenty secure. Pricing is comparable to other similar systems, so more than fair.I’ve also never had any issues with Dreame products and I currently own the air purifier, robot/mop combo (that I purchased with my own funds for $600), outdoor solar-powered security camera, and bladeless fan, which I use almost daily. You can’t go wrong with these products. They’re well made and are built to last, and this smart lock is no different. The only thing I haven’t used yet is the fingerprint recognition (I just use the code function), but I did try it out and it worked fine. I just don’t want to use that feature for personal reasons, but it’s great to have the option should I change my mind.If you’re on the fence, this is the one!

Solid smart lock but the fingerprint scanner struggles with wet hands
I bought this black smart lock because I wanted an easier way to unlock the front door without digging for my keys. The design is very sleek. The black finish looks modern and blends in well with our existing door hardware. The built quality is excellent. The heavy metal casing feels secure against the frame and does not wobble. Installation was very simple. The lock fit right into the existing hole in my door, so I did not have to use a drill. Functionally, it offers great convenience for daily use. The auto-lock feature gives me peace of mind when I leave the house in a hurry. The system also connects easily to my phone app, letting me manage access from anywhere. It offers excellent value for the money since you get keyless entry and a long battery life in one affordable package. However, there is a noticeable negative. The digital fingerprint reader is very sensitive to moisture. Since we get a lot of spring rain, I noticed the scanner fails to read my thumb if my hands are even slightly wet. I often have to dry my hand on my jacket before the door will unlock.I took off one star because the fingerprint reader struggles to work when your hands are wet from the rain.

Only works with Apple Home Hub which as not been released yet (as of Mar. 2026)
I didn’t realize this DREAME Smart Lock, Fingerprint Keyless Door lock REQUIRES Apple Home Hub to work. The big problem with that is that is that Apple has not released their Home Hub yet and evidently will not be releasing it until at least September of 2026. It keeps being delayed for some reason. So…I really have no idea if it will even work. My advise is to wait until you can actually buy the Apple Home Hub.
