Ball is colorful and catches their attention; clicker reinforces
The DuDuDog Dog Training Clicker for Training with retractable ball is a fun way to keep pups interested during training sessions. The colorful orange ball at the end of the retractable stem catches their attention as it starts to waiver. The quality clicker is easy to ise and made of durable plastic. The clicker is loud enough to hear over normal noise conditions and speaking volume. For a fun way to enhance training sessions this is a good investment at a reasonable price point.

Not the Cadillac of target sticks, but good in certain capacities
This is an okay target stick either for working in close quarters or for targeted heeling with a medium to large dog. It definitely doesn’t extend nearly as far as my others; however, it is true to the size description, so purchasers should not be surprised at the length.I specifically got it to work with a toy breed dog on a platform, and it does the job. If I had a choice, the ball color would be yellow or blue for better visibility. The built-in clicker makes training easier. The click is clear and consistent in tone.I can’t speak to longevity, but my dog has retrieved it for me several times without crunching it, which gives me hope it will last a while. If it were going to be my only target stick, I wouldn’t choose this one, but I’m happy to add it to my toolbox.

Great For Training
This pet training clicker is made of plastic. It has an extender for the ball on the end, just pull it out to make longer. I guess that’s to touch your pet with it. It clicks easily. Once your dog gets the hang of the click, and doing something correctly to get a treat, they will know exactly what to do. I wish I had this ages ago. Not sure about training a cat with this but definitely a dog will benefit from this type of training, it’s simple and effective. Fits in your hand or pocket.

Instant Cat Approval, Dubious Definition of “Extendable”
The orange ball on this clicker wand is absolutely a hit with cats. Instant interest. Immediate nose taps, paw pats, and intense staring like it personally offended them by existing. So yes—if your goal is to get your cats’ attention, the ball does its job. That said… the marketing math on this thing is doing some creative accounting. The listing claims the adjustable rod extends to about 13 inches, but that measurement very clearly includes the handle and the ball. The actual telescoping rod itself only extends to around 7 inches, which kind of defeats the whole purpose of a “don’t-bend-down” pointer tool. I do own another target stick from a different brand that extends significantly farther, so this one feels underwhelming by comparison. As for the clicker: it works. The sound is clear and crisp. No complaints there. I haven’t started clicker training yet, so I can’t speak to long-term use—but functionally, it clicks.Build quality is… not great. The plastic handle feels thin and lightweight, almost like it’s thinking about falling apart if you look at it too hard. It doesn’t feel especially durable, and the telescoping portion feels like it could loosen or detach over time. If it were just a target stick, that might be fine—but since the clicker is built into the handle, that would be a problem.Bottom line:✔ Cats love the orange ball✔ Clicker works✖ Rod is much shorter than the listing implies✖ Cheap, flimsy feel for the priceIt’s usable, but the size description is misleading, and the overall build quality doesn’t inspire confidence. If it holds up, great—but I wouldn’t expect this to survive long-term heavy use

Decent
This clicker is decent and definitely gets the job done. The click itself is clear and consistent, which makes it easy to mark good behavior during training sessions. One feature I really like is the ball that extends as a pointer. It’s great for redirecting my dog’s attention and helping with focus. That said, my puppy is still getting used to the clicker and the pointer, so there’s a bit of a learning curve (which is more on my dog than the product). Overall, it’s a solid training tool, functional, and useful for basic training. I’d recommend it, especially if you’re looking for something simple and effective.

This will break. The ball is useless for point training.
The company put about as much thought into this tool as they did their company name. I guess you can kind of tell in the picture but the telescoping thing is barely longer than a pencil so it’s really pretty pointless for spot training because you could just as easily use the clicker itself. It’s a cute idea it’s just extremely poorly executed, and I’ve used telescoping pointers before that look like pens and they could definitely make the telescoping thing much longer. The clicker does make a good firm click but the casing feels like it’s about to fall apart at any second and honestly I expect that one day it will. The whole thing just feels like junk. It’s not horribly priced but I’d still say it’s not worth it. The plastic is cheap, the way the piece is fit together doesn’t feel like it will last, the ball and telescoping thing are totally pointless… The ball and telescoping thing are totally pointless… I train animals professionally, but even just for personal use I’d say this product is really disappointing and is guaranteed to break on you at some point. I see it’s getting a lot of good reviews though so maybe I’m in the minority. Like I said it does work decently as a clicker, and because it’s larger it fits fine in your hand. But I prefer a more sturdy clicker that has a method of clipping it to your clothes or putting it around your wrist and I have many such clickers that have lasted years of being carried around in pockets and pouches… I just feel like this is definitely going to break sooner or later which is not really a concern I’ve had with other Clickers.
