It’s so worth it
I’ve owned this thing for a little over a year and its already paid for itself 10x over. My biggest fear when I made the initial purchase was I never heard of this brand and thought it might be one of those things that works great 1 or 2 times then falls apart. That has not been the case yet. My parents recently went from a 2 car household to a 1 car house, and they have just stored that extra car in the garage for the time being. Obviously the battery went low and on 2 or 3 separate occasions this has jump started them on the first shot. Also, I’m a service manager for an HVAC company and we have roughly 20 trucks. There have been another 2 or 3 times when this has bailed us out on trucks with old batteries as well. So all in all within a year I’ve used this thing maybe 4-6 times and it’s worked flawlessly. The battery life on it is GREAT. I’ve charged it up 2 or 3 different times, but only because “why risk it”. Every time I charged it, the battery indicator still showed it had a lot of juice left. Truthfully this thing would probably still be kicking on the initial charge from over a year ago (but again, why risk it). Also, it’s so small and compact it doesn’t take up any space in your trunk or wherever you decide to keep it. I know there are bigger and more powerful units out there, but I’ve used this on a few full sized pickup trucks (work trucks) and it’s worked like a champ. Also, although I have never used any of the other features other than jumping a car battery, it does have some other things that it can do as well. There is a flashlight on the device and in addition to the standard port where the jumper cable harness plugs into, there are also a few USB ports on there and a USB-C port as well for that you can charge cell phones or other devices off this as well. I’ve never used anything other than the battery jumper, but I could imagine if you were to ever break down and were stranded, having those USB and USB C ports would really be useful for cell phones. I really have nothing bad to say about this thing. Very much worth the money. My only initial hesitation was the weird brand maybe being a low quality, but in 5 or 6 “real life” uses over the course of maybe 15-16 months this thing has operated with no issues what so ever. Very happy with this purchase. I guess if there were one negative, maybe the charging cable could be a bit longer? But my goodness, that is nitpicking.
Just my thoughts. –
BIG Gooloo fan. We have one in every car.
We REALLY like our Gooloo Jump Starters. We have one in every car. We have used them multiple times to help people in parking lots who might need a jump. Our daughter is even good at helping out other kids at the high school if they need a jump. She is known as the “Jumper” (she is also a high jumper). These always work. They are just the right size for storage in a vehicle. Not real sure if I prefer the soft case or the hard. I like the look and the protection provided by the hard case, but it does take up more space. I like the fact that you can’t mess up attaching them (nice and safe). Ease of mind for me if my children have to use one. Solid build quality. The only issue I have is that looking back I would not mess with the lower amp <3000A units. Not necessarily anything wrong with those, but I prefer the 3000A or higher. With all of the different vehicles we have used them on, the 3000A seems to work great. We initially purchased the different sizes based on the vehicles they were going to be in. And, some of the smaller amp models were a great price. The 2000A works great for our 2006 Honda Cr-V. I tried it on few larger vehicles (larger batteries) and it struggled a little with some of them. Note, the 2000A was NOT recommended for the larger size vehicles. BUT, if getting one, you may want to just step up to a larger size even if it is for a smaller car, because you never know what other size of vehicle you might need to use it on.They were changing the look of the different styles/models for awhile. I have no idea if it was just cosmetic or if there were interior changes. The previous models appeared to be a really good deal for awhile. The problem was, that at that time, there were several models listed on Amazon. At times it was a little difficult to sort the different models out. I ended up going to the Gooloo website and made comparisons there. Then I ordered accordingly. The BIG displays on some models are nice, but they do make those models more expensive. And finally, I unfortunately cannot report on the longevity of the individual units. Sorry. We have had all of them for over a year and they all still work. Most have been almost fully discharged at least once. I check them on a regular basis and have not noticed any natural drain of the units (Kansas hot and cold temperatures).

Fantastic- started a V8 with a completely dead battery in 3 seconds
I just got my first chance to use this and it did not disappoint. I was picking up a takeout order during a snowstorm and was approached by a woman in the parking lot asking if I had jumper cables. I did, but hey, let’s try something new! She left a light on overnight in her V8 Mercedes and the battery was completely drained. Barely a click if she tried to turn over the engine. I hooked up this unit, hit the “boost” button, and the engine turned over and started in under 3 seconds. Highly recommended!UPDATE: SAVED ME TWO MORE TIMES WITHOUT CHARGING. Being irresponsible, I had not yet recharged this unit after helping out the woman in the parking lot above. One week later, I went out to my vehicle at night and found my month-old battery completely dead. I pulled out the GOOLOO and hooked it up to my own battery, wondering if it would work again. Yes, yes it did. My 3.8L V6 turned over quickly and started within two seconds. Saved again! But wait, there’s more! I live in the middle of nowhere and drive 30 minutes down a mountain pass to get groceries. After doing so that night, I figured that surely my battery was sufficiently recharged to start at least once after all of that driving. NOPE! Dead as a doornail again, so I pulled out the GOOLOO for a third time. Once again, it worked perfectly and my engine started up within two seconds.Luckily I had 30 minutes until O’Reilley Auto Parts was closing and they happily exchanged the month-old battery I had just purchased and which had died without explanation twice. I should add that after jumping three vehicles on the original charge, the GOOLOO was still showing 3 bars out of 4 on its charge. I’ll bet it could have jumped another 9 or 10 vehicles on just that original charge.
