Good Value
Some of the items were flimsy, but the volume of items for the price could not be beat. I could buy better quality items separately, but the cost would be far more than I paid for the kit. I bought this as part of a gift basket. I would buy again.

Great for new drivers
This kit comes with everything you would need i case of an emergency. The jumper cables and a little short but they get the job done. I use the little tool box anytime I work on my cars body panels. This would make a great gift to a new driver.

Useful emergency kit essential to keep in your car
Automotive breakdowns and problems are a fact of life, and this kit, while somewhat limited in capability will provide some assistance. A review of the items in the kit will show you what you will need to add to make it even more useful. I have worked on my own cars for many years, and know what is useful to keep in your car in the event of a mechanical failure, accident, and what would be useful in a first aid kit (I was also an EMT).These basic tools supplied should be useful in some circumstances, and should be considered a minimum to which you can add more tools later. The tow rope is light duty, but may be adequate for pulling a car out of a small ditch, or out of deep snow. I would not attempt to actually tow a vehicle with this tow rope. The reflective triangle does not have enough weight to remain stationary on a windy day, but you can get better reflective triangles that have heavy bases to keep them in place when you need them. The jumper cables being only 8 AWG may be adequate to start a car whose battery is not too far run down, that has a small engine. A car with a big engine will require considerable current, and this cable will not be sufficient to start it. You can get longer cables to reach from front to back of a vehicle (16 or 20 feet), and a larger gauge (6 AWG or 4 AWG copper) to start a larger engine that requires considerable current. The first aid kit has a roll of gauze, some alcohol swabs, and a rubber roll which can be used as a tourniquet, although it may not work in a crisis. You can add a real tourniquet and bleeding control kit to the first aid kit. You should learn how to use the tourniquet before you pack it. The first aid kit could use some gauze pads (4×4), some tape, and a set of recommendations for good first aid practices. The kit also comes with a carrying bag and a reflective vest (very useful to remain visible at night or in bad weather). The tool kit contains a pliers, two flat head screwdrivers, and a hammer. It also has a measuring tape (metric) and some plastic adhesive tape. The kit also has a small folding shovel. It also has a glass breaker (use it on the corner of the glass, not in the center), a flashlight, gloves, a rain poncho, and a credit card size multi-tool. As a starter kit for someone with their first car, this is a perfect gift. It has limited capabilities, but is very inexpensive, so is priced right for what it provides.

Basic but good set for emergencies
When I get kits like this, my expectations are that everything fits in the bag that it comes with.It doesn’t quite do that.I also like how it’s a 119 items kit, with the first aid kit that has 107 items. It’s a little misleading. It does have a lot of product to clean and cover wounds. And an emergency blanket.I would probably organize this in a duffle bag or a backpack, with the items you need for car emergencies and those for other emergencies.Like I the title says, it’s a good starter kit, and you have to start somewhere. It comes with a pretty decent set of jumper cables, probably better than some of the ones you buy separately. And long enough for your bigger cars.I was mostly interested in the hand shovel. I did think it would be bigger, but that’s ok.It comes in a camouflaged bag, and fits in your hand. Easy to assemble. It folds out and it kind of looks like that if there was something to hold the middle, it could work like an ax or something. I don’t think it does, but maybe that’s something to work on later kits. The shovel has teeth on the side to use like a saw or something. There’s also a little indention for opening bottle tops.It comes with a little pocket/wallet multi tool kit which was a nice little plus.It also comes with a light mesh vest, that surprisingly fit me on the back and through the shoulders. Big plus for us bigger people. It doesn’t close but it works. And a plastic rain “coat”.The reflection triangle is a nice touch. I would have rather it had been a light, blinking triangle. The light that doesn’t need batteries is probably the best thing here, I think. More items should be made like this.Towing rope? It’s made well but I don’t know if I’d try to use it to tow another car, unless I had about 4 or 6 of these. They are made well but they are 2 inches wide and will break with too much weight. The glass breaking tool is a bit hefty so I wouldn’t put it up near a window. The tips are covered in rubber, so that helps keep it from accidentally breaking a window. The tool kit is a nice simple set to use around the house and the office-it’s interesting that the tool kit is one item although there 8 pieces not including the case. Very basic, small hammer, box cutter, and small tools.I would definitely add some things especially to the first aid kit.

Peace of Mind in a Bag! A Must-Have for Every Driver
Living in Michigan, you know you need a solid emergency kit for winter, and this kit covers all the bases. I bought one for my teenager’s car and was impressed with the contents. It packs a lot of essentials into a compact carrying case. The 10ft jumper cables feel sturdy, which is crucial. It also includes a tow strap, a basic tool kit, and a reflective warning triangle for safety on the roadside. Itās perfect for new drivers or anyone who wants that extra layer of security. All of the pieces seem to work well, as well. Itās the kind of thing you hope you never need, but are incredibly thankful for when you do. A great value for safety!
