Don’t keep it closed when humid!!!
Works great except when it’s humid. We left it overnight with the previous days grounds in it and it got so humid that night that the wooden lid expanded and cracked the glass. That was definitely user error so I’m not taking any stars away but just a warning! Don’t close it it with wet grounds in it in case it gets humid in your house😂

Perfect cup of coffee
I was hesitant about this press when I saw reviews about it cracking. I made sure to “preheat” it as per the directions. Which makes sense. Common sense will tell you to not pour boiling hot water in a glass carafe. I only heat my water to 185-190• anyway.It made a perfect cup of coffee. It was easy to operate and easy to clean. The value for the money is great and it looks cute as hell on my countertop ❤️👍🏻

breaks easily
I bought this with the intention of only occasional use, for that once in a while extra afternoon where I need a kick. I used it less than a dozen times before it shattered while being washed. Very disappointed and I do not recommend it. There is no warranty on any of its features.additional comment, after the above review, the seller, Sivaphe, contacted me to tell me that they wished to send me a new replacement Press, they asked me to contact them, though did not tell me how. I spent several hours, trying to figure out what they wanted me to do and then, going through Amazon, spent more that another hour trying to figure out how to contact them. with the help of Amazon this was achieved. I have to say that in pre Covid times I would never have had the time to do this. In any case after only a couple days Sivaphe contacted me directly by email to tell me that they had changed their mind and would not send me a new replacement. They did again ask me to contact them. again not telling me how and offer to help me in any way that they can, after telling me that they would not help. On the whole, I find that more than disappointing, I find it down right annoying. I will not recommend their product, there are many other companies that make all sorts of French Press, and coffee making devices. I have replaced this press with one of stainless steel from Utopia. I have used this one several times already and enjoyed my coffee.

Knob has split in 4 weeks of use
Good: love the fact it has no plastic.Bad: the knob on top has split and will most likely fall off after 4 weeks of use.

I have one friend who prefers his coffee from a french press, so I really only wanted a single serving cafetière, and this little one fits the bill exactly.It is small and compact, takes up very little room in tye cupboard and works well however the bamboo/ wood areas are not sealed on arrival so I personally recommend treating them with food oil ( olive oil/ Rapeseed oil) or as I did with pure beeswax, otherwise it will be prone to splitting when it gets damp ( had this issue with a bamboo tea tray set, arrived unsealed, I hand washed one a couple of times and it just dried right out and cracked / split, I treated the other two in the set and they are still going strong 6 years on, so immediately recognised that the wood on this cafetière was not treated).Overall excellent little french press, very happy with it, does tye job I bought it for.

I purchased this for my mother whose plastic one was awkward to use, hard to clean and cumbersome. She is delighted with this. Aesthetically pleasing too.

It’s a great looking product but be aware it is a little wobbly, as the metal frame overlaps under with and the legs aren’t sized to make up for the mm difference, it’s a very small thing, but if you were anxious around hot liquids it might not be for you.
