The peeler made super quick work of apple harvest!
I love this veggie and fruit peeler. I had to peal and cut all the apples from my tree this year and usually it takes days but this peeler cut my time down to hours. My daughter quickly learned to use it and she peeled while I cleaned them up and cut them. It does leave some peel on the top and bottom that needs to be cleaned up and around any bruises or odd spots but still was quicker than peeling myself. I also tried spiralizing some apple after it was peeled and it didn’t work perfectly but I got some that I was able to fry up quickly with cinnamon and sugar for a tasty snack. I also used it to peel sweet potatoes for dinner and it worked pretty good. Only problem was that they were old so the outer peels got a little papery and ended up clogging up the blade. But it was easy to pop apart and clean quickly. I washed the base spikes regularly so the sticky juice didn’t build up and make it harder to clean later. It’s very lightweight and I wonder how long it will last but I’m loving it right now, especially for the reasonable cost.

Its very light plastic but it does its job very well. Plus its so easy to do. My wife did a whole 10lb bag at one time for some shindig. Its her favorite way to peel now.

Home Use Limits; Power Switch Note
**** OPERATION ****My primary use is to peel an apple almost daily and an occasional potato. As of the date of this review I have peeled three apples and one potato. Two of the apples were average size. The potato was on the small side. The peeling was successful. See two attached video and photo 8.For obvious reasons the cutting blade will not peel the top and bottom of the item being peeled and will require cutting off the unpeeled area or hand peel if desired.I decided to try a very large apple. See photo 5. This apple may have exceeded the width capability of this peeler. The widest part of the apple was unpeeled. During the peeling there was a little more noise as if the peeler was “straining”.The height limits of the item being peeled is about 5-1/2 inches plus or minus a bit. See photo 6. Longer items will need to be cut into smaller portion(s).**** PHYSICAL ****I did not expect a commercial quality peeler. This one is for the home consumer.This peeler is almost all plastic and very lightweight, but it is balanced and will not tip over while in use. The upper and lower food holder (photos 2 and 3) only requires just enough insertion to hold the item in place and will work just fine. Since the holders are plastic I suggest when removing a peeled item lift it straight up (bottom) to minimize the chance of breaking the bottom holder.Power options are four AA batteries or an included AC adapter (photo 7). When the peeling is complete the peeler will auto shut off.A note on the power switch (photo 4) when using the AC adapter: When not plugged in, if the switch is in the on position this may not be obvious. The etching in the plastic showing the on and off position is not very clear (see arrows in photo 4). If the switch is in the on position the motor will start when it is plugged in. For this reason I decided not to plug into the outlet until the setup is complete and ready to peel.

Saves so much time!
My husband has been hand-peeling potatoes forever, so I got this for him as a gift. He was apprehensive at first, but as soon as I set it up and gave it a try it makes the entire potato peeling process go WAY faster!! When you set up the potato, read the instructions carefully to do it right. It does not peel the tip or the bottom tip, so you will have to hand-peel that yourself. The eyes on the potatoes or rough spots also are still there, so you still have to either hand-peel or cut them off afterwards.

This product isn’t the toughest piece of kitchen equipment you will ever own, but it sure is one of the handiest. I have always hated peeling potatoes, and then I started having bad arthritis pain in my hands and wrists and could barely get one peeled in ten minutes. I ordered this, not really expecting it to work that well. I was shocked at how easily I was able to get the potatoes on it and the speed at which the potatoes were peeled. I absolutely love it.

If it worked
At first I said “oh great, cheap plastic, looks flimsy.” But when I started to use it I was so surprised. It works great, I love it. I got the inspiration to get this from the Rosan Reports. He showed it so I got interested in it, cause, I bought a potatoes peeler, the ones that you crank that was a joke, but this one is awesome.

I bought my first rotato peeler on Amazon.com and had it shipped over as I hate peeling potatoes. It is now available on Amazon.co.uk and I bought another for my sister. It is brilliant, easy to use and does the job in half the time. Notc restricted to potatoes, you can feel fruit too. Clean, un messy and then easy to keep clean. Comes with several more blades which I think extends the product life to a good twenty years.
