Great product, works for simple home security and peace of mind
My Remo+ stopped working, so I bought this Tapo camera doorbell to replace it. It was easy to configure. It takes a little getting used to the way the app is setup, but it has everything I need. It doesn’t require a subscription— which is great! I bought an SD card and save everything locally.It had specific detection for people, vehicles, packages, and motion.I purchased the hardwired version, but it also charges via usb if you don’t want to hardwire it. If you want non-stop detection, you need to hardwire it.The quality of the picture is very good. It has infrared night vision. Plenty of features for simple home security.I would buy it again. I recommend it.

Good doorbell that doesn’t need a subscription…
I was looking for a doorbell that would have an indoor chime and not need a subscription. I found it in this Tapo battery powered unit. The installation was easy, just screwed the base onto our door trim and plugged in the chime. Of course I needed to pair the unit to the chime and also to our home internet, but that went pretty well. It’s set to alarm us when someone presses the doorbell, as well as to other movements (i.e. a car driving up). It’s easy to pull open the video (I have a micro-SD card installed) and review what’s happened in the past. You can set the chime to have different tones and volume levels. Overall I like the quality of the unit and the video it presents. I would recommend this doorbell and chime to anyone looking of a unit with no subscription.

Reliable and easy to install
The product so far is working great, it’s been installed here for a couple of weeks. When I initially stalled it, I had an issue with the chime working with the doorbell, so I sent the company an email which they responded to very quickly and helped me to get everything working.. nowadays service can be hard to get but in this case they were very on the spot and helpful. I’m not paying for the monthly service and I installed a USB card and everything is functioning without a problem and I’m not getting any issues with them trying to persuade me to pick up the Service that I seen in other comments.. I’m planning to use this on other properties and I’m happy to see that they have other sensors such as humidity.. I like the idea that you can set up an area for detection so it’ll only notify you within a certain area – where my camera sits my street is about 40 feet away and it was detecting large vehicles going down the street when I set up the zone for detection those type of notification stopped. I installed the 15° wedge down to be able to watch the packages that are put up against the door and the image quality has been excellent and the cat eye vision allows full visibility on my porch.. love the idea that when somebody rings the doorbell, I get a call through the app which allows me to communicate. So far this has shown to be everything I could want it to do.. the app has been easy to work with and reliable. It immediately connected to my Wi-Fi and has function without a problem.

Great doorbell camera
Best doorbell camera I’ve had. I think this is the third type of doorbell camera I’ve owned and it’s been the best. It doesn’t need a subscription and pairs easily with the app. I use it wireless and the battery life is great. I’ve charged it once after initial set up in about 4 months since I got it. The picture and audio quality is great and it captures motion when I want it to. I don’t have it set up to capture every single thing that goes down my street, so the battery lasts a long time. It’s also great that you can put an SD card in it and not have to use a cloud service. Highly impressed with the quality of the Tapo cams.

Better than Google Nest.After my original Nest version 1 doorbell camera died, I replaced it with a version 2. Crap. I then replaced it with a new version 1. Also now crap. They dumbed it down. MOW you have to purchase a monthly Nest service scheme for full functionality.After hours of research I came upon this TO-Link video doorbell. Installation was pretty easy. Works great.The only reason I did not give 5⭐️ was because I can’t hook it up to an existing doorbell chime. If I could, it would have gotten 5 stars.Still, I would recommend this purchase.

Super easy to install and outstanding functionality! The video quality is excellent like the other TAPO cameras I utilize. There are numerous cool features of this smart video doorbell camera. It integrates into the TAPO app alongside my other cameras and light controls. It integrates into my Alexa voice control functionality. When someone rings the doorbell there is an audio alert from the supplied chime, our iPhones give instant alerts and if we are watching tv our Amazon fire tv functionality provides an instant pop up showing who is at the front door. I added a micro sd card for on device recording. Overall a fantastic solution that integrates into my other TAPO functionality.

Better than Ring or Amcrest, no question about it.
I’ve used a Ring Pro as well as an Amcrest doorbell. Nothing but problems with both as these were used on the outside of a large metal building and the dependability was almost non existent. This Tapo Wired doorbell is working better than either of the previous brands did. I get a stronger WiFi signal with this device as compared to others. I decided to try this doorbell after having such a good experience with the Tapo cameras that I have installed at my house. This doorbell is super easy to install and setup was a breeze just like the cameras. I’m becoming a fan of this brand… From what I gather, Tapo is TP Link. So it’s not some off brand crap. I highly recommend the Tapo doorbell and cameras.

Antes tenia un timbre Ring, no funcionaba como debía, tenia problemas de señal débil WiFi. se perdían notificaciones.Cambie a timbre TP-Link Tapo, y ahora funciona excelente, buena imagen, capta señal WiFi sin problemas y las notificaciones son inmediatas. Muy recomendado

Excellent buy. I Bought this to replace my ring door bell because I saw no reason to keep a subscription for a door bell. Installation was easy just like my other TAPO security cams. Picture quality and frame is way better than the ring. And I like that it came with a Chime.

Montage makkelijk. Er zijn handige plaatjes bij om de bel in verschillende hoeken aan de muur te bevestigen. Ondertussen 2 weken in gebruik en batterij staat op 95%. Wel best een micro SD-kaartje bijbestellen. De binnenbel is wel enkel geschikt voor een Amerikaans stopcontact, best dus ook een stekkeradapter VS – EU bijbestellen.
