I’ve been using this smart lock for a while now, and it has genuinely transformed how I interact with my front door. The instant access granted by the fingerprint reader is incredibly convenient, making fumbling for keys a thing of the past. This product delivers on its promise of making daily entry and exit remarkably smooth and secure.The fingerprint recognition system is remarkably quick and accurate. Whether my hands are a little damp or if I’m just in a hurry, it registers my print with impressive precision every single time. It’s reassuring to know that the security is top-notch, keeping my data private. Additionally, having the ability to monitor and control the lock through an app, even when I’m away from home, provides an extra layer of peace of mind. Receiving notifications about who enters and when is incredibly helpful.What truly sets this lock apart, beyond the immediate convenience, is its incredible battery life. I haven’t had to think about charging it since I first set it up a long while ago, which is a major relief. Makes Life So Much Easier!!
This lock makes life so much easier. It is easy to install, just like any other lock, but read the directions first. We put this on an exposed door that is textured, so we ran a bead of silicone caulk around the back edge of the seal on the back of the lock. This will keep the rain from slowly dripping into the mechanism. When you go to put the battery in and start the initial setup, follow the directions. Go ahead and start the download of the app before you get started with the install. That will make things go quicker. The app is easy to use and adding people is easy. You have one admin account and everyone else is basically in the family. They can have the app on their phone, used their Google or Alexa voice control, have their fingerprints and own codes. You can track who comes and goes and when. This is helpful if you have several people coming and going. I have a large family that come and go all the time, so this is much easier than having keys for everyone. My mother in particular is bad about losing her keys, so for her to use her finger print is great. We’ve got another fingerprint lock and this one picked her’s and my father’s fingerprints up much quicker than the other locks we’ve set up. That would be up to the fingerprint algorithm filling in the blanks flawlessly. This really helps when your hands have been through a lot. I like the rechargeable battery rather than dealing with buying batteries. When the wifi comes and goes, this lock picks right back up when the wifi comes back on. This lock is very, very helpful for our entire family. It is worth the sale price and then some for the strong lock and quality bolt.

It’s decent. If you’re worried about network security, it doesn’t need to be connected to WiFi to work. You do need to install an app, however, and pair it with your phone.Quick note: you cannot connect to the smart lock on Bluetooth before pairing. It will show up in pairable devices on your Bluetooth menu, but connecting here will prevent it from connecting and pairing in the app. If you do, simply forget the device and try again in the app.The app is fine. There are the common functions like auto lock, remote lock (requires a Wi-Fi connection), passcode setting, etc. The lock supports random keys before your passcode, and a 6-8 digit passcode. You can also share the administration of the lock with others for a limited time or permanently, but they will have to make an account with Desloc and install the app.The fingerprint sensor works well when it’s warm, but requires a few attempts when cold. Accuracy is generally good otherwise.I can’t speak on the keyhole’s security, as I am not a locksmith nor do I know how to lockpick.The emergency power cord is really short, which does make sense for space constraints, but having a USB port instead would eliminate any issues with an only USB-A port power bank, though they are rare these days. You also wouldn’t have to awkwardly hold your power bank near the lock while you fumble with the passcode, as you could use a longer cable. In my case, if I tried to plug in my power bank and let go, the power bank would just fall.The lack of an alternative source of power is also a downside. Some other locks have backup power like AA or AAA batteries so you can still easily use the lock while charging the main battery, but for this lock you have to use the key or a power bank. To be fair, you would probably charge this lock only when you are home and at night, but in the rare chance the battery loses all power it would be useful. Settings are saved even when power is cut.The lock comes with two physical keys.The part of the lock that is on the inside is made of plastic, while the keypad is made of plastic and metal. Build quality is overall great.Overall a decent basic smart lock. It has all the features you would expect and good build quality, but does lack a backup power source. As long as you remember to charge it regularly you won’t need one though.

Installation of this K120 smart lock from DESLOC was very easy to do and did not take very long to install. It comes with the necessary accessories. All you need is a phillips head screwdriver. This lock is powered by the included 15,000mAh lithium rechargeable battery which is charged via USB-C (note that no charging cable is included). The battery is rated to last up to 13 months.Key Features of this smart lock are:- finger print recognition (up to 5 per user) and recognizes dry and wet fingerprints.- keypad unlock/lock- keyed unlock/lock- when out of battery, at the bottom is a USB-C cable to provide power to unlock via the keypad.- induction lock so with the included plate, once it detects the door as closed, it will automatically lock.- timed lock up to 120 seconds- unlock/lock via the app- works with Google Home and Alexa (Alexa has a little more functionality such as voice recognition).There are some other features which can be accessed via the app such as Vacation and Rest mode, Anti-Peeping, Anti-Hijacking, Failed Attempt, Door Ajar Alert.In ideal condition, I have found that the device works very well when I unlock via all the methods. When the keypad is lit up, it takes less than a 1 sec touch on the fingerprint reader to work. When it’s not lit up, it take just under a couple seconds.The only cons that I found are- There is one part behind the battery where there is a spot to screw in to hold the plate close to the door. I do not like this as I do not want to put a hole in my door. You do not need to follow this step as I found with the other screws, the lock is secured to my door firmly.- The automatic induction lock does not have a timed feature. It locks with a second of it closing. There should be a timed feature for this method of locking.- I found that the fingerprint recognition does not work with wet fingers or if the sensor is wet.Overall, for what you get, this is a great smart lock.
