Wonderful Product
While the 8×12 was the closest to the size of our new pergola, it was true to size. There are 6 or 8 inches on one side and one end that are not covered. It still works great. I am 70 and my daughter and I had no trouble installing it.I took the advice of other reviewers and did not use the included “rope” – it was pretty awful. I ordered 11” ball end bungees and they were perfect.The 90-95% blockage of sun made a HUGE difference is the temperature of our enclosed back porch which gets lots of south sun.. I almost bought another cover that was only going to be 60-70%.We highly recommend this product!

Great shade screen for pergola
Outstanding shade screen. We built a pergola in the back yard and bought this to go over top fixed in place with a bag of ball bungies that we bought separately. Terrific color and quality is very good. The grommets made it easy to bungy to the pergola. We bought the brown color which is very nice and looks like a weaved material. So it’s not solid but fabric looking. Highly recommended and we’ll buy this again for our other pergolas.

DIY Boat Shade
We wanted a sun shade for our boat. I researched boat dealer’s options and was not interested in spending $2k for some poles and flimsy fabric. And every other option for a bow shade was either not enough coverage or involved drilling holes into our boat! So I decided on DIY. I ordered some retractable aluminum poles (used for painting) I zip tie them to our hard top rails. I ordered this fabric with the grommets which was perfect for feeding adjustable nylon straps through to tighten as needed to bow rails and cleats. It has held up beautifully even in breezy conditions. We can even troll for fish in the shade. It’s quick and ez to set up and stores perfectly in the boat. Excellent quality fabric. Lightweight and allows air to pass through. I ordered a second piece to make drop down panels if the sun is low so our new grandbaby can nap on the bow. Perfect! And no holes drilled into our boat☺️ I plan to order another piece of this fabric to shade a portion of our porch.

Been up over a year the Canadian summer and winter.Looks like the day it went up. The pics are the the day I got them May-2023 and last week Aug-2025.I have since purchased another screen/sail from a different manufacturer and the quality is FAR less when compared to this.They have great airflow. Been through heavy winds, hail, and snow. Stand up to it all. The roof comes down over winter but has withstood large hail storms with ease in the summer.

I’ve used it long enough to be able to say that it works great. It looks good. Despite being porous it does not let the sun through and helps to control balcony and room temperature. When it rains, it allows some of the rain to go through but it tempers it. It lets some of the wind through and therefore it is less likely to be damaged by the wind. Because it is a rectangle, it can be neatly affixed to a balcony overhang.I tried sails before. They don’t look as good and the wind sometimes is a concern. The good feature of the sails was that they didn’t let the rain through, but they come with disadvantage of rain sometimes pooling on them.

Great product overall. Rain doesn’t pool up too much at all. I left it out all winter at it looked like the snow was going to break it but it still lives.Would not recommend leaving it up in the winter.

Lets some light through which is nice because it doesn’t create a dark shade. Leaves a feeling of oriental atmosphere. Not sure if it can stay up all winter when snow comes. It keeps strong when tied to pergola posts and overhead bars. Fares well under strong winds.
