Great thermostat, without all the un-needed extras
A perfect thermostat that is SUPER EASY to install, can be adjusted via an application on your smart device which are compatible with any device. Great value, without all the extras.

Easy to install
This was very easy to install as long as you use your phone to take pictures of your wires before unhooking the old one. It looked very good on the wall and probably would have worked great, however when going to program it, it stated this product was not compatible with my unit. After reading all the reviews and doing my research online and even on the paperwork when it came in. It looked to all be the same. HOWEVER, there is a couple of different wires on my unit that made this not work on mine. It’s crazy to get all the way to the programming of the unit to find that it’s not compatible. But as for the head unit itself, it was easy to install and uninstall after finding it wouldn’t work. I recommend you make sure your heat unit doesn’t have I think it was the E wire or the O/B or may have been both of them. Either way, if your system has that, I don’t recommend buying this head unit, it may not work on with your system. Thanks for reading and have a good day.

Thermostat purchased in March 2023; it was determined on January 2025 that the thermostat was bad!
2025: We went thru a frigid spell in northern FL. The thermostat kept on showing that the auxiliary heat was on; same happened in 2024.We just had our HVAC unit serviced and it was determined that the thermostat was bad besides the capacitor.We now installed a Honeywell Home Smart Color Thermostat. Wish us good luck!2023: The instructions stated one thing; unfortunately when we powered on the thermostat it reads that we have a Rh wire, which we don’t!!! It would not let me turn it off either.We proceeded with the thermostat but we could not get any cool air (we live in FL!!)Emailed support and received a “… we will contact you back in two to three days…”, NOT ACCEPTABLE.Thermostat is going back tomorrow as I am assuming by reading these reviews that the unit is defective.Update: Skyler from Etekcity kept on responding to my emails but with over 12 h of a wait for a response. Nevertheless, Skyler asked me for pictures of the previous thermostat set up, the new wiring, and pictures of our HVAC unit.By then, and by me insisting with my husband to fix the darn thing or I would return it, husband fixed the issue. My husband read the reviews that I pointed out to him and it was “just” a matter of switching some wires around; just like the pictures Skyler sent back.Minus the over 12 hours of waiting for a response, I am happy with the results. The thermostat works and it looks perfect on my wall. It gives my home an updated look.Pros: If all worked as it should have, pretty display and same size of the thermostat before without taking the entire wall, but making it easy for me to read it without eyeglasses. Love that it has the weather and humidity info. There’s more to it, but I didn’t venture that far yet.Very easy instructions and without any issues, it’s definitely a DIY item.

Odd duck but nice.
Nice display that goes dark but turns on when someone is near. Easy installation, set up, and Alexa connectivity. Odd duck: you’ll set a temp but it maintains a +/- 2° range. Outdoor temp and humidity display is a plus. Adjust temperature with Alexa device.

Excellent Smart Home Thermostat
I’ve used smart home thermostats for well over 10 years now and was looking for a way to upgrade to a new thermostat with newer features and this one did the trick. Since most smart thermostats offer a very similar set of features now, cost is starting to become a factor. The balance between cost and features really matters. I purchased the Levoit brand because I started using their home air purifiers and humidifiers and they work excellently. After mounting this unit on the wall (it’s much smaller than most other thermostats), it was easy to set up and update the firmware. I was up and running within about 20 minutes and was able to set the schedules and routines. A really nice features of this smart thermostat is that you can set it to Auto for both heat and air conditioning at the same time. Not all smart thermostats have this feature. There are times (here in the NV desert) where you need the heater at night and the air conditioner during the day as we’re transitioning between seasons. The auto feature comes in handy so I don’t have to manually change from AC to heat (and sometimes accidentally forget). Great thermostat!

Instructions are wrong & unit will not recognize a six wire installed as shown on their install manual, pages 16 & 17. Additionally the self config program on first power-up fails to recognize the install as shown in their own documentation. This is why I fear buying new products. A call to Levoit customer service said they were too busy and could leave a message or send an email. They’ll respond in two days. I’ve installed maybe 10 thermostats in my lifetime but never had one go sideways like this! Save your money and buy something else, something that works!!Edit: changed rating from 1 to 3 stars. EtekCity tech support responded later on the evening that I reached out to Levoit. They did follow-up throughout and helped resolve the initial issue which was a defective new Levoit on the original order. EtekCity sent a new unit which performed fine.I took a star away for the defective new product and another for the clunky VeSync interface. I’ve used VeSync extensively with smart extension cords and it works great particularly with creating schedules. The Levoit portion of the VeSync app is very lean and deficient. It’s prob the worst thermostat app I’ve used and a shame because the Levoit therm seems like a really nice, well designed product.Plus: extensive settings menu, internet connectivity, physical design is small & good lookingCon: VeSync app needs a LOT of work
