    Best Garlic Press
Love this garlic press as it is Heavy duty and comes apart for easy cleaning. No need to use fingernails to dig out garlic skin either. The top edge of one handle is beveled and fits nicely into the press basket as a scraper. If that doesn’t work flip it over and the metal stubs fit into the holes pushing out debris. If you use garlic you need this press.

    Love this garlic press!
Simple to use and clean. Has good heft and even looks good. Find it often to be true that better engineered and constructed products look and feel better. This press is a great example. Worth the price. Great gift for the chefs in your life.

    Easy to Clean
We have had smaller garlic presses in the past and they were difficult to clean due to the size of the opening and the holes. This has a nice size that holds a large piece of garlic and is VERY easy to clean – basically wash off – don’t have to use a small brush to clean the holes. The two pieces easily come apart. The only difficulty is if you put in a very large glove of garlic does take some strength to press it.

Heavy duty and it works fantastic!
as others have mentioned these are very heavy duty. Very easy to clean because they are in two separate pieces and the little prongs they have on one side of them really work great to push the skin through and then simply run it. Underwater to get it all the way out.Super easy to clean and they work really well to crush the garlic. Probably the last garlic press I will ever need!

Interesting idea, but the actual use – not so much
I suppose if you consider cooking a craft, and don’t mind an utensil that requires a two handed operation, this may work alright. For the rest of us, there is no way you can put the garlic in and line up the top with one hand. Even after lining up, you have to squeeze it “just right” so that the two pieces do not try to wiggle free. That’s functionality-wise. And then:1) There is no reason to invent a no-peel press. If you don’t want garlic peels in your food, peel the garlic beforehand.2) There is no reason to not attach the the pieces with a connecting through-pin. If you feel the cleaning is that important, make the pin removeable.3) The thing is heavy. All around stainless steel is nice, but there is no reason to make the piece solid – the steel is perfectly formable and the needed strength can be achieved by forming the handles into a (semi)tubular shape. In fact, these solid handles actually flex quite a bit when you squeeze hard.4) If devising the cleaning pins, why not put them on the pressing surface? I bet that this decision was forced by the no-through-pin design that would make it impossible for the pins to line up with the holes. In short, I can’t understand how hard could it be to build a functional garlic press. Ever since my old one broke, I am still looking for acceptable replacement, few month and counting…

Unlocks Too Easily — Good Build, Poor Execution
The build quality on this garlic press is actually quite good — solid metal and it feels sturdy in the hand. The problem is the design. It can be dismantled for cleaning, which sounds great, but the locking mechanism isn’t secure enough. While pressing garlic it can unexpectedly unlock and come apart. That’s not just annoying — it can be risky if you’re pressing directly over a glass bowl or a non-stick pot you care about. If the locking mechanism were improved this would be a great tool, but right now the design flaw undermines an otherwise good build.

Looks good and built like a tank. Unfortunately some bad machining on my press, very thin metal on one side of the bottom holes. Poor quality control.
